The prevention, identification, and treatment of acne is not just about preventing and reducing acne blemishes, but also recognizing the related physical and mental health aspects of the condition. Pharmacists are the most frequently consulted practitioner with respect to mild to moderate acne, yet seldom take the opportunity to personalize the care and treatment for the individual. This session will help participants recognize the other aspects of managing acne which lead to improved outcomes, return client visits, and enhanced loyalty. Pharmacists are encouraged to look at acne treatment with a renewed perspective beyond just recommending an OTC acne therapy.
